The Chain Restaurant Total Rewards Association (CRTRA) is pleased to partner with Aon to conduct our annual compensation survey. Chain restaurants comprise one of the largest employer segments in the country and CRTRA averages around 100 member companies, representing over 300 of the most popular restaurant concepts, employing nearly 1.5 million workers. One thing each member company has in common is that the cost of labor is the single largest operating expense. The Chain Restaurant Total Rewards Association survey data serves as the foundation for members to be able to provide the analytics and insights that help their businesses operate most effectively.

● U.S. data across 9 industry sectors with over 5,900 jobs – including Executive and Infrastructure modules and 23 Restaurant and Dining Operations jobs. The Technology module is automatically included for organizations with >10K EEs.
● Proprietary job catalogue and leveling structure – with geographic reporting available down to 3-digit zip codes, restaurant concept type filters, and unlimited access to custom comparator groups
● Includes premium database features (e.g., Location Analytics, Shared Queries, Currency Conversion, Executive Regression and Data Aging)
● On-demand reporting and downloads
● To best meet our clients’ compensation data business and planning needs, our data is refreshed 5x throughout a survey cycle year (August, September, October, November, January, & April)
● Flat file included on a quarterly basis (posted in Survey Secure and contains CRTRA legacy Executive and Infrastructure jobs for restaurants specific jobs by 3-digit zip code)
● Additional compensation surveys are complementary with participation – including Salary Increase & Turnover and Short-term/Long-term Incentive design market studies.
The cornerstone for having a great survey year-in and year-out is full and timely participation from CRTRA members. Your compensation survey participation data is due within 45 days of enrollment and/or corporate annual merit increases.
